- One geometry
- The globe is generated once: 104 nodes on a shell, each joined to its
three nearest neighbours, giving 101 drawn connections. The zone is a real subgraph of that globe and
the opening pair is a real edge of that zone, so it is one object seen at three distances rather than three
unrelated drawings. The camera scales between the three are compressed rather than literal, because at the
true ratio the estate would be several thousand pixels across while we were looking at the pair.
- Depth of field
- All three planes are on screen at once, separated by focus. What the beat
is about is sharp, and everything nearer or further is soft and overflowing the frame, which is what makes
the pull-back read as one continuous move instead of three cuts. Blur is quantised so changing focus does
not force a re-raster on every scrolled pixel.
- The encryptor
- One component at all three scales. Beside each end at the opening, on the
midpoint of every connection in the zone, and carried by colour across the estate. It falls into place
rather than fading in, because software arrives and hardware does not.
- Colour carries state
- Grey is a connection still on legacy cryptography. Cyan is
post-quantum mTLS. Navy is everything that belongs to the customer and is never touched. The cyan on
connections is a darkened cut of the brand cyan so it holds against white at 3 to 1; the brand value stays
on the encryptor, where it sits against navy.
- The front
- Connections turn in order of distance from the pair we opened on, so coverage
spreads outward from where the story started rather than switching on at random.
- The number
- The estate drawing is representative. The count names how many drawn
connections have turned, and the caption carries the real figure: 150 high-value systems at the anchor
telecom account, quoted at $100M to move by conventional means.
