Cryptocurrencies are increasingly embedded in the global financial and economic mainstream, and the cryptocurrency market is slated to reach $32.4 trillion by 2027. With that type of value, digital currencies will always be prime targets for hackers.

Quantum computers will soon have enough power to crack current encryption, which is used to secure much of our world’s data, including cryptocurrency wallets and communications. Arthur Herman from the Hudson Institute will join the webinar as a special guest speaker. He will discuss the formative 2021 study where the Hudson Institute ran an 18,000-point econometric model to see what a single quantum attack would do to Bitcoin, “Ultimately, the total cost of these direct impacts would approach $2 trillion, representing a loss of approximately 95% of the cryptocurrency market’s valuation.”

Fortunately, solutions in the form of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and supporting crypto security with PQC will enable cryptocurrencies to remain a mainstay of the global financial system for many decades to come.

Join QuSecure on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 10 am Pacific Time/1 pm Eastern Time for a hard-hitting webinar to learn about the quantum computing threat to cryptocurrency. We will cover existing and emerging cybersecurity threats and practical and deployable post-quantum cybersecurity solutions to thwart quantum and classical attacks on cryptocurrency.
